Adobe Fireworks, Rspec / Cucumber Interaction / User Experience Designer South East France
Our client is a “software as a service” company established in 2007, supported by a private Swiss funding, and producing a
specialized software solution to create strong relationships between consumers, brands, and
reseller networks.
The solution is of a store locator type, based on innovating technologies (Ruby on Rails, Haml, Sass, …) and it is intended for large brands disposing of a distribution network. Clients are typically large companies with international point of sale networks.
This is a European/Canadian company with a development team that is globally distributed throughout Europe and North America.
You will be located 3 hours by train from Paris, 2 hours drive from the Mediterranean Sea, 1 hour drive to one of the best Alpine ski resorts in Europe.
As an Interaction Designer / User Experience Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Writing user stories
- Designing and documenting new features
- Elaborate highly detailed wireframe product maps
- Create interactive prototypes
- Write clear and documented design specs
- Liaise closely with developers and graphic designers
- Participate to Behavior Driven Development
- Perform user testing
Work environment:
- Ruby on Rails, Haml/Sass, Javascript
- Behaviour Driven Development, CruiseControl.rb
- Git, Pivotaltracker, Basecamp, Talkerapp
Required skills:
- A minimum of 2 commercial experience in an international environmen is essential
- Proficiency in designing high and low level mockups
- Strong understanding of the web technologies yourdesigns will be implemented in
- Passion for user experience best practices and usercentered design
- Extreme attention to pixel-level details and user interface consistency
- Excellent culture of web-based products and applications
- Fluent spoken English
- EU passport
Tools:
- You will have to use Adobe Fireworks on a daily basis
- Previous experience with Rspec/Cucumber is a plus
- Being a skilled Front-end developer as well is a big plus
On Offer:
Excellent salary. Negotiable based on previous experience with full relocation, accommodation, insurance and travel expenses covered by the company.
Initially the role will be a 6 months contract, after which time you will become a full time employee of the company and offered a salary increase up to 10%.
Projects are ongoing as the company is eager and excited to “take over the world!” with their new revolutionary product.
Regular hands on training and further development will be provided.
