Perl developer - Infrastructure Specialist with English – Join a global team to support a huge project!
Join a global team that specializes in infrastructure support and development for a team of 250 developers, taking care of a project with over 6 millions lines of code! You will be managing technical analysis, testing of components and more within an English speaking team in the center of Prague!
Join a fortune 500 company based in the center of Prague, working on a brand new project focused in managing the infrastructure of a large, international development team. You will be using Perl, (Python or other scripting languages), working on database admin and system admin of systems running more than 6 million lines of code!!
You will work within a remote team of roughly 3 Infrastructure Engineers. Your responsibility will include: technical analysis, design, coding, maintenance and testing of components within the quant library development tool chain. Responsibility for deploying and supporting new components and support infrastructure.
The ideal candidate should be able to work in an international environment with strong communication skills, English is a must, all other languages are an advantage! Technical requirements will include:
- Excellent knowledge of Perl (Python alternatively)
- Well versed in a Linux/UNIX environment with strong experience in shell scripting
- Development support (working with build tools, compilers, deployment systems and other tools for software development)
- Good knowledge of database administration using SQL or Oracle (setting standard stored procedures etc.)
- Understanding of web skills will be a strong advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work within a remote team and under pressure when needed.
