Business Intelligence. Senior Strategy Consultant. Eastern Europe Region

The senior Business Intelligence Strategy Consultant is responsible for qualifying new business opportunities and the successfully delivering services associated with Business Intelligence Strategy and Business Intelligence Architecture.

The services may also be cross-sold and/or integrated with other BI-related services such as Maturity Assessment, Enterprise Data Warehouse Governance, BI tool Selection, Business Discovery, BICC offering, and others.

As the senior Business Intelligence Strategy Consultant you will be involved in supporting the EMEA Sales and Professional Services (PS) delivery teams in demand creation and delivery of high-value, strategic consulting services in the area of Business Intelligence (BI).

Provide thought leadership and mentoring to the Solution Teams and PS Delivery consultants.

You will work closely with Sales and PS Management in creating and delivering on revenue opportunities for new accounts and user base expansion across multiple industries and multiple countries in EE.

The intent is to use specific high-value services to drive customer demand not only for Professional Services but also for large scale data warehousing solutions (hardware, software, and applications).

You will be responsible for developing, facilitating and delivering these high value services whilst providing best practices knowledge transfer to other PS resources within the organization.

Reporting to Professional Services Manager of Eastern Europe your Key Responsibility will include:

Use knowledge & influence in data warehouse technologies and business, to promote sales of business intelligence services across multiple industries.

Create demand for business intelligence solutions and professional services via development of sales and marketing

Provide sales presentations, proposals, demonstrations, and webinars covering business intelligence-focused solutions to business problems

Support/Drive selling opportunities, increasing team revenues and gross margins

Deliver billable services to clients around above mentioned services

Support an offer-based practice, provide thought leadership and help to articulate and deploy the BI Services development strategy as it relates to professional services within EMEA.

Demonstrated leadership qualities including a proven track record of gaining the respect of multiple business and technical constituencies.

Demonstrate ability to balance business and technical requirements for BI implementations.

Demonstrate ability to relate business problems to the underlying data and the ability of business intelligence technologies to solve the business problems

Define an enterprise blueprint and time-phased roadmap for enabling the business to realize their vision.

Provide technical thought leadership and actively participate in the application design, implementation, and roll-out efforts

Work with project managers to scope projects and develop statements of work, project plans, and risk analysis.

Become a trusted advisor to the customer's decision-makers by establishing credibility and expertise in business intelligence systems and architecture.

Generate interest with decision-makers that lead to follow-on meetings and advancement of the sales process.

Establish/maintain personal credibility with clients and others

Actively pursue knowledge transfer across the industries in order to share/evolve best practices and increase the number of consultants delivering BI services.

Demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills by critically evaluating and synthesizing information from various sources.

Key Competencies and Skills:

Minimum of 5 years experience specifically with BI tools (Cognos, Microstrategy, Business Objects) with a total 10 IT experience. Typical background - Solution architect, architect or Senior Business Consultant, BI department manager or BI Architect

Able to balance business and technical requirements for BI implementations

Solid understanding of data warehousing process and applications, enterprise architectures, solutions, and technologies.

Modeling for analytical applications, including semantic modeling

Determine reporting, data, and technical requirements for business intelligence applications within a specific industry and translate them into
reports, scorecards, and dashboards for solution development in a business intelligence application such as
MicroStrategy, Cognos, Business Objects

Broad understanding of governance best practices for data warehousing and business intelligence

Strong client interaction, communication, and consulting skills. Able to summarize and communicate complex information to multiple audiences

Able to work with minimal direction or as part of a team

Ability to lead, mentor and manage PS consultants on BI Services engagements

In depth industry experience from one or more industries.

Native Czech or Slovak with strong English communication skills

Willing to travel (50% of time) across the Eastern European Region
