Server Side Test Analyst €2.5kpm. Become team lead Prague
Help build a brand new team in Prague & become team lead within 6 months.
As a Test Analyst, you could be working in the heart of Prague and be working on server side of testing within a well known investement banking organisation. Ideally you should have previous experience on complex system testing project (distinct advantage). You should also have experience of investigated bugs (logging onto servers) checking log files etc. Maybe you are a tester that has also 2nd line supported the project once it has gone live?
Function
The department provides testing support for a significant amount of IT change.This role provides business facing support for mitigating both the financial and operational risk of change. Server – side testing 80%
Experience Required
Operating server applications in a Windows based architecture
Preparing and validating complex XML documents
Experience of defining test approaches on large projects
Experience of at least one object-orientated programming language
Exposure to technical risk assessment in a production support or technical test management environment
Management of test projects within a financial environment (e.g. investment banking)
Preferred Experience
Background in derivatives and an understanding of the greeks
Exposure to Fixed Income Options
Experience of the Fixed Income market, particularly more exotics products including CMS and range accrual structures
Grid computing
Experience of software testing in a data focused environment
Defining test requirements under emergency release conditions
Exposure to Emerging Markets
Skills / Aptitude Required
Excellent written and good verbal English
Investment banking expertise, particularly in the FI Options or Exotics areas.

Duties
Gathering test requirements from IT and business staff
Preparation of detailed Test Plans and Test Cases
Specifying the changes required and working with the Support Teams to implement the changes in the production environment
Provide regular status reports to project managers and senior IT staff
Work with developers to resolve issues in a timely fashion
Setting standards and constantly striving to improve these standards wherever possible
System Testing
Preparing and executing a detailed test plan for testing core Trade Capture and Risk applications
Executing regression testing
Supporting the UAT process
Risk Testing
Analysis and preparation of detailed XML configuration specifying the tests
Operating a batch system in a high performance grid computing environment to exercise the changed components
Monitoring batches and reporting deviation from expectations to the relevant development teams; preparing detailed diagnostic information for development teams to analyze.
Analyzing the financial metrics (greeks) resulting from the test batches
Providing impact assessments to the business and development to enable changes to be signed-off
